Basketball Recap: Canton Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Canton had won four straight home games and Shamira Morton did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Canton Tigers snuck past the Cleveland Central Wolves with a 48-43 win thanks in part to Morton, who dropped a triple-double on 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Canton's points.

Amya Hunter was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 10 points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Canton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Cleveland Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cleveland Central, they will take on North Side at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
