Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Hoggard). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Topsail Pirates 52-12. The  victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.
 Hoggard was led to victory by  David Hunter and  Matthew Boring.  Hunter gained 158 total yards and three touchdowns, while  Boring rushed for 59 yards and three  TDs on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave  Hunter a new career-high in  rushing yards (126).  Micah Hunter also helped out with an impressive 95  receiving yards.
 Topsail's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jackson Reeves, who picked up 125 receiving yards and one  score. Reeves got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards.
Hoggard's record now sits at 7-0. As for Topsail,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hoggard is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Laney  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Topsail will  take on  rival West Brunswick  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
