Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Eagles are ranked 484th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Triton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. As for Pine Forest, they now have a winning record of 10-9-1.
Triton skirted past Pine Forest 2-1 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for Triton since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
