Joaquin Boche put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Friday. He struck out five batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Boche and Van Nuys will take on Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vipers are limping into the matchup having lost seven straight on the road.
