Softball Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset fell victim to Central Cambria and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Red Devils. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Somerset has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Central Cambria, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset will venture away from home to take on Bellefonte at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central Cambria, they will head out to square off against Penns Valley Area at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
