Basketball Recap: Malad Comes Up Short

Malad lost against Declo two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Malad Dragons lost to the Declo Hornets at home by a 49-34 margin. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Hornets are ranked ninth).

Malad dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Declo, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malad will host Wendell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Declo has already played their next contest (against Buhl), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
