Basketball Recap: Conestoga Christian Comes Up Short

Conestoga Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were beaten by the Linville Hill Warriors 80-42. The Cougars have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Giovanni Sejuste continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Linville Hill, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. That's the most points Sejuste has posted since back in March of 2024. Stephen Smucker was another key player, going 6 for 7 on his way to 14 points.

Conestoga Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Linville Hill, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Conestoga Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on High Point Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Linville Hill, they will take on Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Linville Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.3 points per game this season.
