Basketball Recap: Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine Comes Up Short

Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine was the 47-40 winner over Red Hill when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine and the Red Hill Salukis didn't end well, with Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine falling 44-28.

Red Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caitlee Gray, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Moore, who scored 14 points.

Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-12. As for Red Hill, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-12.

Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine has already played their next game, a 64-22 defeat against Marshall on the 28th. As for Red Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 34-32 victory against Martinsville on the 30th.
