Basketball Recap: St. Anthony Takes a Loss

If St. Anthony was feeling good fresh off their 62-38 takedown of Eastbrook Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Anthony Roman Legion took a blow against Chesterton Academy on Tuesday, falling 66-38. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Chesterton Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-14 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why St. Anthony lost, don't look at Anthony Ruvalcaba. Despite the final result, he posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and six steals. Ruvalcaba is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Morales, who earned nine points.

St. Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Chesterton Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

St. Anthony wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-30 victory against Hmong American Peace Academy on the 13th. As for Chesterton Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 50-40 loss against Cristo Rey on the 13th.
