Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Sequoyah lost against Carter back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sequoyah Chiefs fell just short of the Carter Green Hornets by a score of 7-6. The Chiefs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Sequoyah saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Hall, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Hall a new career-high in RBI (three).

Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Polk County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carter, they are taking a road trip to face off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
