On Friday Joseph Cuccurullo struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). The performance marked the most strikeouts Cuccurullo has had since March 5th. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with less than two walks. For the season, he has an ERA of 2.33 over 21 innings pitched.
