Preview: Vandegrift Vipers vs. Cedar Ridge Raiders
Vandegrift is 5-0 against Cedar Ridge since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Vandegrift Vipers will look to defend their home field against the Cedar Ridge Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Vandegrift has seven straight wins, Cedar Ridge has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, Vandegrift was fully in charge, breezing past Round Rock 45-3 on the road. Fans of Vandegrift have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Among those leading the charge was Zaid oliver, who rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Coleman, who picked up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge lost to Manor at home by a decisive 37-23 margin on Friday.
Vandegrift's win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-0. As for Cedar Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Vandegrift took their win against Cedar Ridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 29-7. Will Vandegrift repeat their success, or does Cedar Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
