The Hazleton Area Cougars won the last time they faced the Dallas Mountaineers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Hazleton Area enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Dallas.
Luis Guzman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Joey Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Hazleton Area now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Dallas, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.
Hazleton Area will face off against Executive Education Academy Charter School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Executive Education Academy Charter School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. As for Dallas, they will head out on the road to square off against Wilkes-Barre at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Wilkes-Barre will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
