Softball Recap: Sumner-Fredericksburg Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

While Sumner-Fredericksburg's win against Aplington-Parkersburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Falcons 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Sumner-Fredericksburg and Aplington-Parkersburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games.
