Baseball Game Preview: Monache Marauders vs. Porterville Panthers

For the second straight game, Monache will face off against Porterville. The Marauders will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Monache will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Porterville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Marauders put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-1 victory on Tuesday.

For Porterville's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Roman, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Monache is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Porterville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
