It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Centauri had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Brush Beetdiggers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Falcons not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Centauri's got stronger as the match went on, holding Brush to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.

Centauri is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Brush, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Coincidentally, Centauri and Brush will both be playing Coal Ridge the next time they take the court. The Beetdiggers will head out to face the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
