Basketball Recap: Jarrell Snags 15th Victory in Last 16 Games

Jarrell extended their home winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Aniya Taylor. The Jarrell Cougars walked away with a 45-35 win over the Lampasas Badgers on Tuesday thanks in part to Taylor, who posted 24 points. The matchup was her 16th in a row with at least ten points.

Jarrell is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Lampasas, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-20 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jarrell will face off against Burnet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jarrell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season. Lampasas has already played their next matchup (against Salado), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
