Recap: Clairton Bears vs. Union Area Scotties
The Clairton Bears waltzed into Friday's matchup with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They walked away with a 18-6 victory over Union Area.
Among those leading the charge was Michael Wright, who threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns. Donte Wright also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Clairton pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.5 points per game. As for Union Area, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3.
Clairton will square off against South Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South Side's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Union Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
