Basketball Recap: Anthony Soliz Key Part of a Team Effort in Vikings Win

There's no place like home for Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Weld Central Rebels by a score of 69-61 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-47 last Monday.

Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Soliz out in front who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and six boards. That's the most rebounds Soliz has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caleb Dudley, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Valley's record is now 5-12. As for Weld Central, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coming up, Valley will welcome Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Weld Central, they and Elizabeth will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
