Basketball Recap: Bowsher Takes a Loss

Bowsher was the 60-57 winner over St. Francis de Sales when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bowsher BlueRacers were dealt a 66-25 defeat at the hands of the St. Francis de Sales Knights on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the BlueRacers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 701st, while the Knights are ranked 89th).

Bowsher's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for St. Francis de Sales, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.

Bowsher will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harvest Prep at 7:30 p.m. on February 15th. As for St. Francis de Sales, they will face off against Brother Rice at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brother Rice knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matchups -- so hopefully St. Francis de Sales likes a good challenge.
