Baseball Game Preview: El Rancho Dons vs. La Serna Lancers

For the second straight game, El Rancho will face off against La Serna. The Dons will venture away from home to square off against the Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

El Rancho is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since March 10th on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over La Serna. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dons.

Alexander Moraza made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Moraza was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Moraza wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Randy Maravillas, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

El Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for La Serna, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
