Baseball Recap: Bishop Guilfoyle Takes a Loss

If Bishop Guilfoyle was feeling good fresh off their 19-4 takedown of Bishop Carroll on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marauders took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Penns Valley Area Rams on Saturday. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Heston Murphy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

Bishop Guilfoyle's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Penns Valley Area, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.
