Baseball Recap: South Sioux City Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, South Sioux City was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 8-1 to the Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Crimson Pride: they've now lost nine in a row.

South Sioux City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Jensen, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

South Sioux City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Roncalli Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Sioux City is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Calhoun on the 25th. Meanwhile, Roncalli Catholic will square off against rival Ralston at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
