Basketball Game Preview: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. Oceanside Pirates

Sage Creek and Oceanside are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Sage Creek Bobcats will get right back to it and host the Oceanside Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sage Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

On Thursday, Sage Creek beat St. Augustine 62-53.

Sage Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Stephens, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Elias Samady, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Oceanside didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mission Vista on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 62-57 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Sage Creek's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Oceanside, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Everything came up roses for Sage Creek against Oceanside when the teams last played on January 15th, as the team secured a 74-40 win. Does Sage Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oceanside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
