Soccer Recap: New Waverly Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hempstead last Tuesday, New Waverly came back down to earth. The New Waverly Bulldogs lost 9-0 to the Royal Falcons on Friday. The Bulldogs were red-hot offensively headed into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior) but the Falcons' defense proved too tough.

With the loss, New Waverly broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2-1. As for Royal, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Waverly has already played their next contest (against Bellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Royal is taking a road trip to challenge Harmony School of Innovation at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.
