After losing to South Lyon East the last time they met, Novi decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Novi Wildcats took down the South Lyon East Cougars 67-53 on Wednesday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th in Michigan, while the Cougars are ranked 143rd in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Novi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. South Lyon East moved to 15-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Novi will take on Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Lyon East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
