Joshua extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Madilyn Lacey. The Owls came out on top against the Canyon Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Lacey, who had 18 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Canyon's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brylee McElroy, who had nine digs and eight assists. Laney Jones was another key player, getting ten digs and nine kills.

Joshua's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Canyon, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Joshua has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Brennan on the 22nd. As for Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Birdville on the 22nd.
