Soccer Game Preview: Grand Ledge vs. Holt

The Grand Ledge Comets are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Holt Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Ledge's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Grand Ledge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Petoskey, sneaking past 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Grand Ledge were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Holt's offense. They came up short against Saline on Saturday, falling 7-0.

Grand Ledge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Holt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Grand Ledge beat Holt by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
