Football Recap: Aarnav Shrivastava's Menacing Defense Leads Santee over West Adams

Santee won the last time they faced West Adams, and Keitran Lattimore did his part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Panthers 49-0 for which the team can thank Lattimore, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Santee's defense and their five sacks. Aarnav Shrivastava was especially locked on to West Adams' QB and sacked him twice.

The win made it two in a row for Santee and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points over those games. As for West Adams, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Santee will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marquez at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for West Adams, they will challenge Workman at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Lobos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
