Soccer Game Preview: Glenbard East vs. Hinsdale South

The Glenbard East Rams will square off against the Hinsdale South Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Glenbard East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Glenbard East came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Geneva.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale South kept a clean sheet against Leyden on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for Hinsdale South, who have now won five matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Audrey Atkinson and Brynn Diedrich scored all five of Hinsdale South's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 37 goals.

Hinsdale South is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those nine contests. As for Glenbard East, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-2.
