Magna Vista had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They breezed by the Bassett Bengals to the tune of 57-29. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bengals are ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Magna Vista has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Bassett, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Magna Vista will head out to face off against Tunstall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Tunstall: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Magna Vista has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Bassett has already played their next game (against Martinsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
