Gio Cruz put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Stanton is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 9-10 otherwise.
