The Gibault Catholic Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Waterloo Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Gibault Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Gibault Catholic is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since March 23, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Father McGivney Catholic by a score of 5-3. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Griffins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Gibault Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Frierdich, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterloo). They blew past Valmeyer 16-1 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Waterloo's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Gibault Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
