Softball Recap: South Hills Huskies vs. Alta Loma Braves

There's no place like home for South Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Alta Loma Braves on Friday.

Katelyn Saguin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Victoria Roman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

South Hills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in seven consecutive matches.

South Hills is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season. As for Alta Loma, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Coming up, South Hills will take on Bishop Amat in a tournament on Saturday. As for Alta Loma, they are taking a road trip to square off against San Dimas at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
