For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Carrollton and Santa Fe meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Trojans came out on top against the Chiefs by a score of 3-1. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Chiefs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 25-6.

Among those leading the charge was Olivia Burton, who had eight digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high.

Burton wasn't the only good server: Carrollton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 14 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Carrollton will face off against Penney at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Fe, they will challenge Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
