Baseball Recap: Everglades Takes a Loss

Everglades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-5 to the Chaminade-Madonna Lions. The Gators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Everglades saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Ramirez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Everglades' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chaminade-Madonna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Everglades will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Cooper City at 7:00 p.m. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
