Preview: Yarmouth Clippers vs. Freeport Falcons
Yarmouth has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Freeport Falcons at 2:00 p.m. Yarmouth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Yarmouth pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 78-67 to Oceanside. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (65), Yarmouth still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Freeport entered their tilt with Wells with four consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with five. Freeport secured a 58-53 W over Wells on Thursday.
Yarmouth has fallen quite a ways from their 16-5 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Freeport, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Yarmouth didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Freeport in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-39 win. Will Yarmouth repeat their success, or does Freeport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
