Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for East Bladen

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Bladen walked away with it. They came out on top against the Oxford Prep Griffins by a score of 4-1 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

East Bladen pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.8 runs across that stretch. As for Oxford Prep, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-3.

Looking ahead, East Bladen will square off against Perquimans on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. Oxford Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
