Baseball Game Preview: Red Springs Red Devils vs. Clinton Dark Horses

For the second straight game, Red Springs will face off against Clinton. The Red Devils will head out to challenge the Dark Horses at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Red Springs came up short against Clinton on Wednesday, falling 10-1. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Clinton's part, Cooper Sessoms spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaxson Smith, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Henry Bass, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Red Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
