Volleyball Recap: Cordova Gets the Win

Cordova won the last time they faced Glennallen and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wolverines walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

While Cordova won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20.

Isabelle Nothstine paced Cordova's offense, picking up six kills. Nothstine got some help from Willow Tiedeman and her three assists. Avery Reynolds and Camila Vargas kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Cordova's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Glennallen, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Cordova wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Susitna Valley on the 27th. Hopefully Glennallen paid attention to the Wolverines' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wolverines at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
