Basketball Recap: Crete-Monee Finds Home Court Redemption Against Bloom

There's no place like home for Crete-Monee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Sunday. They skirted past the Bloom Blazing Trojan 50-48. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Blazing Trojan back in January, they had to take a 54-51 loss.

Despite the loss, Bloom still got an impressive performance from Joe Jones, who posted two points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Jones a new career-high.

Crete-Monee's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Bloom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8.

Crete-Monee will venture away from home to square off against Kankakee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kankakee will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Crete-Monee surely won't give up without a fight. Bloom has already played their next game (against Rich Township), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
