Everything went Sandy Creek's way against Superior on Monday as Sandy Creek made off with a 56-33 win. The Cougars pushed the score to 40-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Ethan Shaw continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Christian Shaw, who went 5 for 6 en route to 10 points and six rebounds.
Sandy Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Fillmore Central won against Centennial on Tuesday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Fillmore Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tri County 55-53. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers who have now won three contests in a row.
Sandy Creek better focus on containing Daniel Stoner and Joey Stoner as the pair were huge in Fillmore Central's win. Daniel posted 18 points in addition to six assists and five boards, while Joey went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarin Tweedy, who had seven points and 11 rebounds.
Fillmore Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Sandy Creek, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sandy Creek has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Fillmore Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
