Deion Turner's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Starting off the list is Montbello's Deion Turner, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Turner rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 91 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Montbello dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. They and Denver North are set to duel on Saturday.

If history really does repeat itself, Ward might just drop another big game when he faces off against Aurora Central on Friday. When Ward last faced the Trojans back in August of 2023, he rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
