Volleyball Recap: Markesan Gets the Win

After losing to Omro the last time they met, Markesan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hornets skirted past the Foxes 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Rylee Hoffmann paced Markesan's offense, picking up ten kills. Hoffmann got some help from Brynn Jackowski and her 19 assists. Jackowski also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Karlie Olson, each putting up two.

Markesan's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Omro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Markesan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Columbus on the 20th. As for Omro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Campbellsport on the 25th.
