Football Recap: Whiteface Skates Past Springlake-Earth with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteface). They blew past the Springlake-Earth Wolverines 82-48 on Friday. The Antelopes haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

When it comes to explaining why Springlake-Earth lost, don't look at Froylan Agundiz. Despite the final result, he threw for 262 yards and six TDs, and also rushed for 170 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Agundiz is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Kaylob Frietze also helped with two scores in total.

Whiteface's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Springlake-Earth, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Whiteface will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wellman-Union at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Springlake-Earth, they will take on Hart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them.
