Softball Recap: Urbana Comes Up Short

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Benjamin Logan Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hillclimbers of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jazmyn Scott was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Benjamin Logan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Urbana will square off against Tecumseh at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Hillclimbers are facing the Arrows at the right time seeing as the Arrows are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Benjamin Logan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Indian Lake at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
