Basketball Recap: South Panola Takes a Loss

South Panola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 64-52 to Lake Cormorant. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Lake Cormorant are ranked 45th).

South Panola's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Lake Cormorant, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Grenada the next time they take the court. Lake Cormorant will host Grenada at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while South Panola will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
