Soccer Recap: Ariton Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Ariton was not quite Long's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Long Rebels by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Purple Cats in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now lost five in a row.

Ariton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Long, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Ariton is taking a road trip to face off against Houston Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Houston Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season. As for Long, they will challenge Northside Methodist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th.
