Soccer Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Takes a Loss

Greater Nanticoke Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Benton Tigers. While losing is never fun, Greater Nanticoke Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 524th, while Benton are ranked 38th).

Greater Nanticoke Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-15-2. As for Benton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Greater Nanticoke Area will head out to take on Hazleton Area at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benton, they will venture away from home to square off against Selinsgrove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
