The O'Connor Panthers will challenge the Johnson Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
O'Connor is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Taft just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. The game between the Panthers and the Raiders didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 46-32.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Riley Eason, who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and one score. O'Connor also got a significant boost from Cash Manis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 124 yards.
Meanwhile, Johnson strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Clark by a score of 42-30. The Jaguars pushed the score to 35-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.
O'Connor better keep an eye on Elvis Estrada. He was instrumental in Johnson's win, throwing for 182 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. What's more, Estrada racked up 165.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
Johnson's run defense was locked in: Clark could only muster 0.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Tyler Willis for the heroic effort on defense: he. Johnson didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.
Johnson's defense didn't let Isaiah Santillan, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Clark's QB won't forget Elijah Guajardo anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Guajardo has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Johnson's record now sits at 10-0. As for O'Connor, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. O'Connor has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 182.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Johnson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 195.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
O'Connor might still be hurting after the 47-21 loss they got from Johnson when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Thankfully for the Panthers, Lorenn 'Bubba' Johnson (who rushed for 217 yards and three scores on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
